What a year. 2015 was a year of wonderful highs (theatre, my first audio book reading, bookings for next year) and some lows, and it all comes to a positive starting point for the next round. I'm at a place where I'm a little sad to see 2015 go, but I'm thrilled to welcome 2016 in.
Speaking of bookings for next year, guess who's going to be in Who Mourns for Bob the Goon again:
Happy Holidays to everyone, and wishing you spectacular things for 2016!
"I think the only thing I've got going for me as an actor specifically is the fact that I can change."
- Rufus Sewell
It was a triple-audio book audition week instead of the one I knew about last blog post. Not bad, huh? Getting ready for at least one more for this week.
"There is no point at which you can say, "Well, I'm successful now. I might as well take a nap".
- Carrie Fisher
We just got back from a wonderful visit to my Mom, Dad, sister, and in-laws in Florida. As much as we love what we do and our home in NYC, it's always good to get away for a little while. We even got to see two manatees!
I have another audio book audition for this week (one so far. There will be more. Trust me). Is it ego? No, just stating the facts. Ok, maybe a little ego, too.
"Whatever I do has got to be great." - Jamie Foxx
The week was good, but I'm having a hard time focusing, so I'll post a great quote and call it a night, okay? Ok.
"A year or so ago I went through all the people in my life and asked myself: does this person inspire me, genuinely love me and support me unconditionally? I wanted nothing but positive influences in my life." - Mena Suvari
