For a holiday week, I was pretty busy! I put some more hours in at voiceover studios, had a couple more audio book auditions, and had the most relaxing Thanksgiving Tim and I have had so far (it was just the two of us, so my cooking was on a much smaller scale).
I don't know what's going on for this coming week, but I'm sure it's going to be fabulous!
"I'm just attracted to good material and great characters and that can come in any form, whether it's television or film or a theatre piece." - Laurie Holden
I'm going to be in a show next summer! I'm not supposed to go into details yet, but I'll tell you guys about it as soon as I can. That most I'll say at this point is that it will be at a theatre in SOHO. I am so freaking excited!
Right now, I'm getting ready to audition to narrate some more audio books. Yes, I know the holiday season is coming up. Many actors, myself included, don't tend to take holidays, though. It's a combination of not wanting to miss opportunities and wanting to be noticed. Probably why we're not considered the most stable people. We are fun, though!
Was that Clancy Brown on the 6 train? Yup. I think I just saw Clancy Brown on the 6 train.
"If it's something that reaches out and grabs me, I want to do it. I have a lot of trouble doing things that don't grab me." - Clancy Brown
I'm a narrator of audio books now! On top of that, I received my first theatre review:
What a wonderful week!
"Be friendly to everybody; protect yourself; people sometimes want a piece of you for no good reason; and always do things out of love not fear." - Rashida Jones
Who's getting new headshots tomorrow? This lady! I'm referring to myself, if you didn't realize that. I'm going to put my voiceover reel together in a week, too. Wonderful things ahead!
"I tried college for three months but I was desperately unhappy. I just wanted to perform."
- Keira Knightley
I'm still coming down from the high of acting in "Who Mourns for Bob the Goon?" on Friday! It is an honor to have worked with such a talented director, writer, cast, and crew. We don't know when the six-week run of the show is going to happen yet, but I definitely want to be a part of it when it does!
"As an actor, you're sort of the court-appointed lawyer of the character. And that's what used to draw me to scripts -- something in a woman that I wanted to defend, something that I recognized or wanted to understand, something that turned my head. " - Vera Farmiga
