4/26/2013 0 Comments April 25th, 2013So I'm going to be starring in a new movie. Yep. A feature film this time. That means it's a movie longer than 40 minutes. I've never done that before. You know, be the leading lady in a feature film. All of the films I've been in were short films, which is totally fantastic, but this is a change of pace. Okay, I'm trying to play it cool, but...I'M REALLY EXCITED!!!!! I'll keep you cats updated. Really, I will. I have some work to do right now, though, so I'll sign-off.
You know the deal. Here's a fabulous quote from the Divine Miss M: "Sorry, what was the question? I'm bonkers. Where am I? Who am I? I love your socks." - Bette Midler

4/19/2013 0 Comments April 19th, 2013It's almost 5am, and I'm awake and blogging. That's because I forgot to do this two days ago. I really need to get better at keeping up on this. You know that, though, for those of you that read this and wait patiently for my blog updates. For that, I thank you.
I'm going to be in a short film tomorrow. That's pretty fun. No sarcasm intended. Really. I'm actually really excited about that. Again, it's 5am and I'm not sleeping. Bear with me. It's a comedic short film, and Tim's in it, too. For those of you that either don't follow me on Facebook (or just don't pay attention), Tim is my boyfriend. Really, he's more like a husband at this point, and we're married as far as we're concerned, but legally speaking, we're boyfriend and girlfriend. Anyway, I'm playing his girlfriend in the film, I know. Big stretch. No complaints on my end. I'm more than happy to play his girlfriend. I mean, come on. Look at him. He's hot! Plus, since I actually am his girlfriend, I'm sure believability won't be an issue. Ok, I think that's all for now. Speaking of early mornings, though: “Have you ever heard of an early rising, hard working, prudent person, careful with money and strictly honest, who complained of bad luck?” - Bob Frasier 4/10/2013 0 Comments April 10th, 2013I'm feeling strangely energetic today. This is surprising, as I'm on this jacked-up schedule right now that calls for strange hours (the film festival-running lifestyle piled on top of the acting lifestyle piled on top of life in general), and haven't gotten a solid seven or eight hours of sleep in a few weeks.
I know - Don't question it, just go with it. I am on the verge of something big. Yeah, I own a film festival that's going to start next month, but it's much bigger than that. Trust me. Or don't. Your choice. Anyway, I love this quote: "If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door." - Milton Berle 下周见! That's "See you next week" in Chinese. You probably looked that up, though. I would. I don't speak Chinese, but I have the internet, so I can do things like that. Anyway. 4/7/2013 0 Comments April 07th, 2013I barely made the cutoff for this week's blog! I'll be on time (or at least closer to) next week. I promise.
I'm getting ready to do an audition today! It's a self-taped audition, which I'm starting to see more requests for. I'll let you know how it goes! I need to do some serious Spring cleaning. Between auditions, running a film festival, and survival jobs, I let organizing and general tidiness get away from me. Familiar with the sense of drowning? That, dear blog reader, is my desk. I haven't ended posts with good quotes in a while. I think it's time to reintroduce the practice: "There is no lightning. It's hard work. You take a fairly good idea, you get yourself top talent, you pay attention to your instincts, and you back it up with incredibly hard work." - Mel Brooks |
