What an excellent week! I've had auditions, one being for a Shakespearian production (I got to do a Rosalind monologue from As You Like It. That was fun!), and I'm even getting ready to go to another audition as we speak.
You know the song, "Pompeii," by Bastille? It's stuck in my head right now. Yesterday it was "Never Gonna Stop" by Rob Zombie. Ok, and we're moving on now... People always comment on how I'm so positive, energetic, and nice. It's because I do yoga by myself every day and I don't eat processed foods. For yoga, on top of the fact that it's an excellent workout, it's also a way to meditate through movement. This makes it very stabilizing and uplifting. As for not eating processed foods, I completely gave up eating food-like products five years ago. Basically, if there's an ingredient in an item that I don't recognize as an actual food, I won't eat it (Asparagus? Sounds good. Maltodextrin? No thank you). Since I started this, I don't get sick anymore, and my energy levels are through the roof! To wrap it up, what it comes down to is that I am the way I am because I'm healthy, so I feel good. I'm also very weird, so that probably comes into play at some point, too. "Being a geek is all about being honest about what you enjoy and not being afraid to demonstrate that affection. It means never having to play it cool about how much you like something. It's basically a license to proudly emote on a somewhat childish level rather than behave like a supposed adult. Being a geek is extremely liberating." - Simon Pegg
