So scriptwriting is starting to catch-on with me. On top of the TV pilot, I started writing a feature film, too. I was having writers block on both, but then remembered what a very talented and successful playwright/scriptwriter friend told me about such a situation: If you get stuck, start at the end. BOOM. Problem solved.
This whole "being discovered" thing is nonsense. As entertainers, not just in New York but everywhere, we have to wear so many different hats to build careers for ourselves. Yes, I am an actor. Yes, I also own a film festival. Yes, I also produce, and yes, now I write. All help my acting, especially the writing and producing. If your "perfect role" hasn't come around yet, write it yourself. Now to find the right team to shoot it... On another positive note, Tim has finally started acting again! It is good to see, because he is so clearly happy getting back to it. It is so easy to get caught-up in the humdrum hamster wheel of everyday life ("Gotta pay the bills. Gotta eat. Gotta get ahead...") that we can easily lose track of our dreams, our meaning. I'm so glad to see him doing what he came here to do. "I don't think anybody can be told how to act. I think you can give advice. But you have to find your own way through it." - Dame Judi Dench
