I had an audition at the beginning of the week, and now I'm getting ready for another audition, this one for a film the will shoot outside of the country. Yeah, you could say I'm excited.
Not long ago, I read an editorial with advice for actors, stating the importance for actors to have a life outside of their career. The article said that having not interest outside of acting will lead to a very dull and uninformed performance of a character, since the actor will have no outside experiences to draw from. I'm happy my life has been so interesting so far, and I'm sure it will continue to be. I have a history of unusual jobs and strange hobbies. Perhaps it doesn't make me the most stable person, but it gives me a rich source of material to work with!
"Alan Arkin said to me once that he wanted to have a really big life and a really good career. And I think that's really sane." - Michael Keaton
