Happy Memorial Day to everyone! I'm sure you've noticed that I don't tend to mention holidays in my blog entries. Let me give you a basic explanation for why: When you live the 24/7, no days off lifestyle that we entertainers tend to lead, days tend to blend together. I happened to notice that tomorrow is Memorial Day, though, so it would be unbecoming of me not to mention it. As such, enjoy your Memorial Day weekend.
I had a callback this week for a theatrical reading (yay!), finished Golden Egg Film Festival NYC for 2015, and had auditions. I was also invited to see a Broadway show this week with a good friend of mine, so I will post about that later. As usual, I'm in a bit of a hurry, so here is an awesome quote and a picture of a surprised owl. "I remember, I was at Cal Arts and I wasn't a good life-drawer; I struggled with that realistic style of drawing. And one day I was sitting in Farmer's Market sketching, and it was this weird, mind-blowing experience. I said, 'Goddamit, I don't care if I can't draw, I'm just gonna draw how I feel about it.' All of a sudden I had my own personal breakthrough, and then I could draw, and satisfied myself." - Tim Burton

I can't get over the variety of things I've gotten done this week. Shall we get started?
I started taking another acting class! It's been a couple of years since I took one, so I'm long overdue. I'm loving it so far, and more updates on that to come, of course! I also had some excellent auditions, and I have more coming up for this week. It's a mix of film and theatre. Wish me luck! Golden Egg Film Festival starts again on Tuesday, so Tim and I are in event-management overload. Want to come watch good movies and meet the filmmakers? Join us! http://goldeneggfilmfestival.com/film-festival.php To top everything off, I'm going to start another business and a foundation. I still have work to do on business structures and focuses, but you can trust that both are going to be spectacular! How's that for a productive week? Even this orangutan is surprised! Ok, ok. I'll be honest. This ape is not surprised over my weekly update. I'm sure if I told him about it, though, he would've made this same face. It has been an excellent week! I took a few classes, learned quite a bit in each of them, and I started catching-up on shows I want to act in. I'm going to have some excellent news coming up very soon. I can feel it.
"I'm a journeyman. I work." - Tim Meadows Oh, and since I've been adding photos to my posts recently, I don't want to leave you in need. Here is a picture I drew of a stick figure doing a headstand. I have a busy day, but I don't want to leave you guys hanging. Here is a video of a monkey petting puppies. I know! It's a monkey, and it's petting puppies! How can you go wrong with that?
