Did a great shoot this morning, and tomorrow I have another audition. They're great ways to both end and begin weeks!
"I come from a FULL house of storytellers. If they wanted to simply tell you about someone pouring the tea, it would take about ten minutes. They would act out all the parts. I had to kind of jump in there because, as the youngest, if I wanted to get in an opinion, I had to yell and jump and really participate." - Alfre Woodard

Yesterday was full of wonderful things! The morning was dedicated to a great audition and the afternoon to playing Ingrid in a spectacular virtual reading of Peer Gynt. How's that for ending the week on a high note?
"When there's work to do, we look at ourselves, we look to each other, and we step up." - Regé-Jean Page I'm so happy that I got to act in a virtual theatrical reading! It was a feeling of hope and almost normalcy in midst of theatres still being understandably but sadly closed here in NYC. On top of that, I've been yearning to act in another piece by Shakespeare, so it made acting in Julius Caesar another win!
I'll be performing in two more upcoming virtual classical readings in the next few weeks ("Peer Gynt" for 3/20 at 1pm and the Scottish Shakespearean play which can't be named for 4/3 at 1pm), so I'll post the links to see them as soon as I have them. How are all of you doing? I can see NYC starting to come back to life, but there's still that feeling of weirdness in the air. We'll all get through it, though. What other choice is there? "Fame and celebrity doesn't matter to me. The longevity of my career does." - Eva Mendes I have two fun auditions for this week, and I got to do them with a sprained thumb. Yes, you can sprain your thumb, so I of course had to do it. #spaz I have another audition coming up, so I'll do my best to try this one without injuries!
"I remain thankful for the gifts that I've been given and I try to use them in a good way, in a positive way." - Denzel Washington |
