You know how sometimes I have a hard time focusing enough to write a blog post? Today is one of those days. I'll give you a quote that's a shout-out to my home, then carry on:
"New York is the coolest city. The place just never sleeps. It's amazing." - Margot Robbie
I'm going to be doing a reading tomorrow! Here are the details:
So happy to work with Joshua Young (a gifted writer), John Carhart (a gifted actor), LaGina Hill (another gifted actor), and Alex Teachey (and yet another gifted actor) again! We got to work together in Who Mourns for Bob the Goon this past Summer, so I know this reading will be the awesome start to something new.
"I've tried to be flexible in my career by doing a little bit of everything and that's worked for me."
- Regina King
I'm going to be in a show created by the fabulous Beverly Bonner! She is a delight to be around, so I can't wait to work with her! I will of course give you details once I get them.
More good news is that Tim and I finished Spring cleaning. We made lots of donations to Housing Works, Cancer Care, and National Council of Jewish Women, and we have so much more room now! With the state of the world being what it is, it feels good to have a tidier, less chaotic sanctuary. It gives one the feeling that everything is ok, and that everything is as it should be.
"Not being secure affects us as humans. It throws us off our balance. It puts us in disarray."
- Sonequa Martin-Green
Yes, it's 30-some degrees in NYC, but it's time for Spring cleaning in this apartment. Notice how you get a fresh perspective when you clean away clutter and maybe move things around? I'm there right now. Definitely a good sign!
"I think actors are divided into two groups: one that wants to be an actor to become famous and rich, and the other that wants to be an actor because they have to be. I'm more in the second group." - Franka Potente
