I'm feeling much better post-COVID! I was very lucky in that my symptoms were only that annoying feeling of needing to clear my throat, plus a cramp in the left side of my neck and a weird cramp in my right leg that made me feel like I constantly had to stretch it. All that is done now, though, so all good!
How are all of you doing through everything? Things are unsettling, with far too many in the U.S. federal government calling for a racist theocracy to be installed as a replacement to democracy. How are all of you feeling as we're going through this? As troubled as the waters are, we've all got to be there for each other. Hate groups use brainwashing to draw people in. If we're regularly checking in on each other, whether it's someone in your inner or outer circle, or even your outer-outer circle, hate groups will have a much more difficult time finding people to brainwash.

“My advice to the women of America is to raise more hell and fewer dahlias.”
- William Allen White
Guess who has COVID! I'll give you a hint if you need one - This is my blog. I'm very lucky because my symptoms aren't bad-- just feeling like I constantly have to clear my throat. People in my inner circle were hit so much harder when they caught it, so I'm quite grateful to only be dealing with the annoyance of said feeling of needing to clear my throat.
On a more positive note, I got to audition for a great TV show! I can't leave my apartment for a few days, mind you, but the audition was fun nonetheless.
"I'm very lucky to have found the thing that makes me tick." - Ben Whishaw
Alright, we're still stuck 50 years in the past in the US, with members of the House and Senate trying to bring us back even further. Until we can get the people doing this out of the positions of power allowing them to do it, here are some organizations we can support to help everyone affected by what's being done:
On a positive note, when I was posing for a photo shoot two weeks ago, I happened to get two new headshots from it! Since posting them, I've gotten to audition for a horror film this week and will auditioning for a Co-Star role for a TV show next week!
With everything happening, I'm happy to see good things going on, too.
"I'm raised to actually think, to use my brain." - Jason Momoa
How is everyone doing? There is so much to be distraught about right now and we need to help each other through this.
"It never too late - never too late to start over, never too late to be happy. " - Jane Fonda
As the US continues to be backtracking 50+ years at a time, I'm still doing my best to find the bright side wherever I see it.
For one, I received my official acceptance letter to the conservatory of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. I'm beyond thrilled about this! Also have been learning a ton in the first two weeks of AADA's summer lab (same school but separate from said conservatory). I'm absolutely confidant that my skill set is going to improve that much more through learning from and with such talented, creative people!
"Commit to what you love - that's important. Believe in yourself and try as much as possible to do everything you do from a place of love. Not labor, but love." - Michael Mando
There's a lot happening right now, much of it not good at all, so I do my best to focus on the wonderful things that are happening at the same time. Sound good?
Had my first two classes at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and they were superb! The amount I've learned on one day of both is astonishing. My skills will improve throughout these next few weeks, I'm certain!
To top it off, I got to act in another reading for W.W.O.W. Radio - Cranston & Spade Theater Company, and it was divine! The merry musings of embodying another character over the course of a show is always a boisterous event, but I'm honored to get to engage in said musings with such talented people!
"I'm just looking always for characters that change, because I want to get better, as an actor and as a person."
- Jeffrey Dean Morgan
We in the United States have fewer rights starting yesterday, 24 June, 2022, than we had one week ago. The majority of us are angry about this. That's good. There is so much to be angry about right now, so now is the perfect time to be angry! This weekend, we can be angry. We can be upset. Starting Monday, though, we need to get to work. We need to organize.

Not only am I prepping to start the Summer Program at American Academy of Dramatic Arts, I've also got two awesome auditions to do this coming week!
Hoping all of you are healthy and happy at this point as well!

I've been having a hard time processing the seemingly exponential increase in mass shootings. We've had a problem in the U.S. with this for at least 20-some years, but it's gotten a lot worse. No, I'm not going to say get rid of all of the guns. Not at all. What I'm saying is we need to license them and require background checks before selling them. Not gun control. Gun safety. I don't think that's unreasonable. This is not impeding on anyone's freedom, constitutionally speaking. It is definitely helping everyone maintain their freedom to live when they go through their day-to-day lives, though.
